For my birthday I decided to take a trip to Hollywood, Florida. Being born in New Jersey I have been up and down the east coast but I had never been to Florida. I went with my mom, and we stayed at the luxurious Diplomat Hotel. This was a 4-star hotel that sat right off the North Atlantic.
The Diplomat Hotel is a beautiful hotel with 4 dining options in the lobby, two pools and an adjoining building for conferences to take place. The hotel is know for regularly hosting the group The Rat Pack (Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr., Jerry Lewis, Dean Martin, Joey Bishop, and Peter Lawford) back in the 60's. Also right next door to the hotel are condos names after the hotel.
While in Florida we went to a few muesums and seen alot of iguanas sun bathing on the roof of houses. We took a trip to Aventura Mall, and it was the biggest mall I had ever been to in my life! We actuallly got lost trying to locate the food court. Also the mall was extremely different from anywhere I have been, it was extremely diverse as far as the culture and throughout the walkways of the mall there were several stations where small businesses were selling their products. Everything from art, clothes, food, flowers, pet supplies, homemade soaps and beauty products. It was amazing to see.
During our visit to Aventura Mall we visited the Stranger Things store and the Happy Go Lucky Exhibit. The Stranger Things store completely immersed you and made you feel like you were in the show. It was very detailed however, I wish it was interactive. Everyone room in the store had a different theme based on the show and included merch surrounding the room theme. The Happy Go Lucky Exhibit was ok but, I wasn't sure what to expect. When you first walk into the exhibit there was a Kalidescope room and after that it was other rooms to take pictures in.
